Tess has been a committed yoga practitioner since 2016 now with a 200-hour RYT accreditation with Yoga Alliance.
Continuously inspired by the physiological, psychological and spiritual therapeutic power a yogic practice has to offer, Tess’ passion for sharing the healing and empowering potential of Yoga comes from direct experience and a dedicated self study.
Her presence is grounding yet uplifting and her classes are a direct reflection of her compassion and playful spirit. Drawing influence from Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Pilates, Yin, Restorative and Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga styles; Tess’ offerings are adaptive and promotes accessibility.

When is a prenatal/postnatal yoga class offered?
Virtual prenatal/postnatal class current series is Tuesday from 12:30-1:15pm; but please contact the clinic for more details and specific dates/times.

What if I cannot make the scheduled group yoga classes?
Drawing from a box of yogic styles and movement modalities, a one-on-one session is specifically designed to meet your needs and reach your goals; a private session will allow you to practice at a time that best suits you and your schedule.

How much will a virtual group class cost?
Catering to all pregnant people during any stage of their pregnancy, or postpartum; this class is designed to bring balance and harmony between you and baby mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically. A movement-based practice created to support you throughout your entire pregnancy, relieve common pregnancy related discomforts, prepare you for labour and delivery, and assist in your postpartum recovery! Tess’ informed and compassionate approach creates an accessible environment which aims to empower, invigorate and connect to your playful spirit.

How long should I wait to participate in a yoga class after giving birth?
A waiting period to 6-8 weeks after delivery is recommended. This is true for both vaginal deliveries and C-Section births. It is important to allow your body time to heal and to be ready for a safe yoga practice.

How should I prepare for my virtual yoga class?
Checking with a health care profession prior to participating in a prenatal or postnatal yoga class is highly recommended. Please ensure to set-up your matt in an environment that is distraction-free, quiet, has ample space, and is clear of hazards. Be sure to check your internet connection, webcam, microphone, and lighting.

Do I need to be an existing client at Motion Works Physiotherapy Orleans to register?
No, all yogis are welcome.

How do I register for the class?
Please call the clinic to register. Payment for class will be due upon registration. An email containing additional information and clinical forms will then be sent, completion of these forms will be required prior to class participation.

What happens if I cannot attend the class I registered and paid for?
If you cannot attend the class please make the clinic aware of your absence and we can reschedule; you will not be entitled to a refund for this service.

What should I do if I did not receive an email with the link for class?
Be sure to check your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ email folders first. Otherwise please call the clinic to notify the administrative team. We will send the email with the class link again and confirm that it has been received.

How do I join the class once I have the link?
Click the link in the email and join via Zoom. Please take note of the password as that will be required upon entry.
